OPHIS

OPHIS provides a complete ophthalmology information system for eye clinics and hospital eye departments. It supports structured anterior and posterior segment examination records, refraction and spectacle prescription management, fundus photography filing, and surgical records for cataracts, glaucoma surgery, and other ophthalmic procedures.

A particular strength for CEMAC facilities: OPHIS includes structured workflows for trachoma, cataract, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy screening programmes — conditions with high prevalence in the region.

Who is OPHIS for?

  • Hospital eye departments
  • Standalone eye clinics and optometry centres
  • Preventive blindness programmes (cataract, trachoma)
  • Diabetic retinopathy screening programmes
  • Ophthalmic surgery centres

Problems OPHIS solves

1

Visual acuity records not tracked over time — BCVA and pinhole acuity recorded at every visit with trend graphs for each eye.

2

Diabetic retinopathy screening not systematic — Structured DR grading (ETDRS scale) with fundus photo filing and referral workflow.
